Serving each other is what a church is supposed to do, right?

We have a Deacon’s Fund that offers folks assistance in many ways, from medical bills to auto repairs, help for children or propane, grief support and scholarships.

Our men’s group offers help with odd jobs for people in need, like ramps for seniors or home weatherization. They’ve also worked hard to prepare this winter’s Wood Bank.

We are very big supporters of the Nederland Food Pantry, which grew out of our kitchen nearly 30 years ago. We have an ongoing food collection basket in the sanctuary, and church volunteers help out at each distribution, about 80 times a year.

Our homeless ministry is the Summer Sandwiches & Socks program, which provides a meal, socks, personal hygiene supplies, and a peaceful, respectful atmosphere for our summer camping neighbors. As well, we partner with the campers to help clean trash left in he woods. Many other local organizations (Peak to Peak Counseling, Lovin’ Cup Kitchen, Boulder Homeless Shelter…) help with this event, at noon beside the church on each Thursday of the summer (June through August).

Rocky Mountain Mission connects eager young people with the opportunity to serve, all surrounded by a stunning natural environment that can help them consider God’s place in their lives and their calling in God’s story. Teenagers come from all over the country to spend one week doing outreach in Nederland, while sleeping at the church.

Each year we invite the community to help us pack 10,000 meals for hungry children abroad, through Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now).
