Nederland Community Presbyterian Church celebrates 110 years of service and ministry to its members and to the Nederland community this year. With this milestone we also have also welcome a new Pastor into our midst, Reverend Zachary Hancock. We are fortunate and grateful to have Zack. After much hard work by the Pastor Nominating Committee, On Sunday, May 15th, Zack gave his pre-vote/”interview” sermon, and fielded questions from the Congregation, after which our greatly impressed Congregation voted unanimously to offer him the NCPC Pastor position, which he accepted. Zack was immediately and duly installed as our new Pastor by Presbytery of Plains and Peaks Executive Presbyter Denise Pass who came up for the occasion. Pastor Hancock gave his first sermon as installed Pastor on May 29th, as he has every Sunday since. He is “one of us” now and we are happy. Whether you are already an actively participating NCPC member, an occasional visitor, someone considering Church participation, or a Nederlander near or far wanting to keep apprised of one of the latest of Nederland’s stellar newcomers, please check out the informative and interesting article that our own Sara Sandstrom wrote about Zack for the Mountain Ear:
