4th of July Parade

The Nederland Community Presbyterian Church participated in a big way in the Nederland July 4th Parade!  Dean Rundle volunteered his truck which was festooned with American flags and red, white, and blue bunting and a new church banner on the front.  Dean drove the truck with passengers Debbie Stevens, Bette Ventrella and Judy MacDougall riding inside, waving flags to all along the route.  In the truck bed, throwing candy to the kids in the crowd were Harrison and Rachel Kobi (with mom Sara taking photos for the Mountain Ear along the way), Erin Thomason and her little ones Finn and Jubilee and Cora Cooke, granddaughter of Margie and Jeff Yansura.  Leading the way was Jim Reis, carrying a large American flag. Walking along the truck handing out packets of homemade cookies and American flags and packets of doggie biscuits were members BG and Patti Brooks, Jaydene Morrison and Lauren Anderson,  Dennis Whalen, Ina Bromley,  Margie and Jeff Yansura and their daughter Sarah Cooke.  Our church was represented by folks from 90 to 19 months and every age in between!
We all had a great time helping spread the word about our church caring for our community and inviting others to join us in worship and service.
