Rise Against Hunger meals have shipped!

Rise Against Hunger has announced that the 10,000 meals from our packaging event on 3 October have been shipped to their partner in Cambodia, Salesian Missions!!! The Salesians have been there since 1992, providing marginalized youth with education, housing, food, health services, and other needs. They operate 45 schools through the country, including one in Kep City, recently remodeled for children with physical disabilities. They manage an orphanage for homeless children in Sihanoukville, vocational training for 2000 girls in Battambang, health services for 840 children with HIV/AIDS in Phnom Penh, and so much more. Feeding kids is an integral part of the programs in Cambodia, because a satisfied stomach is a prerequisite for other learning and development activities, and it incentivizes parents to send kids to school. Rise Against Hunger is able to meet that need, as they’ve done around the world by providing nearly half a BILLION meals, in 74 countries.
